Gala's Story

Gala is a beautiful and sweet 5 year old female Shih Tzu with nothing but love to give.

This adorable little dog arrived at SSHS in July as a stray wandering aimlessly through the streets of Chicago Heights. How she may have lost her way quickly became apparent to SSHS staff - Gala is totally blind!

The vet diagnosed her with juvenile cataracts and she needs surgery desperately in order to restore the vision that will offer her a promising remainder of life.

SSHS is seeking donations to help fund her $3,500 surgery or a loving home that is willing to take on the expense of the surgery in exchange for this precious soul.

If you are interested in helping Gala regain her sight or provide her that forever home she deserves, please contact Gary at .
